Description for Item # 145308649
Antique Colt Peacemaker SAA Artillery Model 45lc, this is an original Colt Single Action Army revolver commonly known as the peacemaker. left side of the frame is marked US Depicting that it was a US army issue, the left grip is marked RAC for Rinaldo A. Carr showing that it was an artillery model and was sent back to Colt in 1895 after the Indian wars to be fitted with the 5 1/2" barrel instead of the older 7 1/2" barrel it started with. This is a highly collectible piece and is in good working order. Front sight has been filed off, this was apparently a common practice among gunslingers as it prevented the sight catching during the quick draw. Finish is worn and has a light patina but no real rust or pitting. Very good bore considering its age and use. this gun has been around a long time and it shows but it is still a great working piece. please ask all questions before bidding as returns are not permitted. this was made prior to 1898 so no licence is required S&H is $49 due to the value of the gun. for more info on the colt peacemaker I found this link http://guns.wikia.com/wiki/Colt_Peacemaker Visa/MC accepted with a 3% processing fee, Trades welcome, We pay Cash for guns.
